Intro

In 2025 Natomas Unified School District purchased 88 acres for future growth needs in the Upper Westside Area, at this time, there is no specific growth needs for future projects.  In the meantime, the District will follow the development of the Upper Westside project.

Potential Project Costs

While the Upper Westside Project is still in the planning stages, the cost of any new campuses have not been factored in the 2026 Updated Facility Master Plan, but as the development progresses and is confirmed, the Facility Master Plan will be updated accordingly.

Intro

District Owned Property: 12 Acres

The Arena Site was purchased by Natomas Unified School District in 2020 to plan for the future growth of NUSD.  Based on the size of the property it is anticipated that a new school and ancillary site upgrades may cost upwards of $90M when needed. The cost has not been factored in the 2026 Updated Facility Master Plan at this time, but as the project progresses and is confirmed, the Facility Master Plan will be updated accordingly. The cost is subject to change based on escalation, project scope, and need.
